Representing your client at Mediation: Getting your client to the table

There is a greater push by Government for Mediation and other Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms to be used at all stages of the planning system - particularly in light of the forthcoming Wales Planning Bill.

However, despite time and cost implications - as well as more sustanable outcomes for all - it is not always clear for the public, planners, developers, local authorities and other stakeholders when ADR can be applied and how it would work in practice.

Civitas Law is therefore pleased to launch its latest workshop for professionals in the planning system, their clients and local authorities:

Representing your client in Mediation: Getting your client and the other side to the table.

The free CPD workshop will be held at Civitas Law on the 30 October 2013.

Members of the Dispute Resolution Division and Public, Planning & Regulatory Group are hosting this unique CPD workshop for those in the public and private sector, planning committee members and developers to help them understand how mediation can benefit the resolution of disputes, how an agreement is made and how sustainable outcomes are qualified through a live mock mediation.

The CPD workshop is free and available to all those interested in planning, development and the dispute resolution process.
