Inquests and Inquiries

Members of the team have significant experience in acting on behalf of the parties involved in an inquest, whether that be the families of the deceased; employers of the deceased; or various State authorities.  The team has particular expertise in representing State organisations such as local police forces and their serving officers; and prison governors and their staff, both wing officers and medical staff. The team also has experience of representing hospital trusts and their staff at such hearings.  Our team has experience of appearing before a coroner alone or accompanied by a Jury. Members also advise bereaved families and state authorities on potential civil claims  following inquests.
