Mair Coombes Davies and Nick Thomas Symonds will present an engaging and timely update on the Conveyancing Act and the new Land Registry Portal. The three-hour CPD (Continued Professional Development) event will be hosted in a Road Show across Wales by the Law Society Wales.

Civitas Law will be attending RESI 2010 - the largest UK conference for the residential and house building sectors – as well as planning and regeneration. The event is hosted by leading trade publication Property Week at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport.

Gareth Jones will be leading a seminar update on inheritance tax planning at the annual Legal Wales Conference in North Wales this autumn. The prestigious national event will look at the future shape of the legal profession; the emerging Welsh jurisdiction; and, law reform in Wales.

Civitas Law is pleased to announce that this year; Young Planners’ Cymru will bring the annual RTPI National Young Planners’ Conference to Cardiff.

Civitas Law’s Business Development Manager, Emma Waddingham, has been invited to speak at the national AvMA (Association Against Medical Accidents) national conference in Manchester. Emma will explain why marketing, branding and communications are not simply essential for growth in the current market, it is paramount.

Jonathan Walters (Head of Civitas Law’s Employment Group) and Christopher Howells, will explain how legislation in the forthcoming Equality Act 2010 (due to come into force in October 2010) harmonises and in some cases extends existing discrimination law. The CPD seminar, hosted by the Law Society Wales, is intended to provide an overview of the Equality Act 2010 so that practitioners are not caught out by the new provisions. Particular focus will be placed on the new additions to discrimination law that employment lawyers will need to familiarise themselves with.
