Practice Profile

Personal Injury

Rebecca is frequently instructed to advise and represent both Claimants and Defendants in personal injury cases. Rebecca has experience in claims involving road traffic accidents, highway tripping, employer's liability, occupiers' liability and defective premises. CFAs are accepted.


Housing

Rebecca has extensive knowledge in housing matters, with significant experience in representing both Local Authorities and tenants.  Rebecca regularly receives instructions in matters involving possession, demoted tenancies, exclusion orders, injunctions and anti-social behaviour including breach and committal proceedings. Rebecca has further experience in dealing with private landlord and tenant cases.


Contract

Rebecca has been involved in a number of cases involving contractual disputes, with experience of consumer credit, including credit hire agreements, debt recovery, sale of goods and holiday litigation. Rebecca has recently been instructed in a number of cases involving the bank charges litigation including representing Barclays Bank and Halifax PLC (Bank of Scotland PLC).


Insolvency and Company Law

Rebecca regularly appears in insolvency matters on behalf of individuals and trustees. She has substantial experience in setting aside statutory demands, possession orders, orders for sale and charging orders. Rebecca has experience in company matters and in particular has acted for company directors on a number of occasions in cases involving failure to file accounts.


Regulatory

Rebecca has represented Local Authorities and individuals in a range of matters including taxi licensing, prohibited sales and prosecutions under Education Act 1996. Rebecca has also represented the Police in a number of matters including cases under the Police (Property) Act 1897.


Employment

Rebecca has been involved in cases in the Employment Tribunal, representing both Applicants and Respondents. Her cases have included discrimination, unfair and wrongful dismissal.
