Civitas Law invited to Local Government Conference
Members of Civitas’ Public Law and Employment Groups were invited to this year’s Solicitors in Local Government Welsh Conference.
A reception was held on Thursday 24th September 2009 at the National Assembly for Wales and was opened with addresses from Des Hudson, Chief Executive of the Law Society, Guy Goodman (SLG’s National Chair) and Carwyn Jones AM, Counsel General. The Counsel General spoke of the development of a distinctive Welsh legal identity and stressed the opportunities for the legal community in Wales and indicated that it was important that the Bar in Wales is supported as part of the legal economy in Wales.
Civitas was pleased to be a sponsor of the event and to re-affirm its commitment to the provision of specialist legal services to local authorities throughout Wales.
