Legal 500 recommends Civitas Law members

The editors of the 2009 edition of The Legal 500 have confirmed Chambers’ expertise in civil and public law by recommending ten members of Civitas Law.

Confirming Civitas Law as one of the leading sets in Wales, the editors recommended members of chambers in the fields of personal injury and medical negligence, planning and public law and in employment. 
 
The breadth and depth and Chambers’ experience in personal injury and clinical negligence, was recognised by 6 members of the team being featured. Bryan Thomas, was described by one correspondent as "one of the most successful personal injury litigators in Wales". The ability of both Bryan and Andrew Arentsen to handle numerous high-value damages claims was cited. Robert O’Leary and Theo Huckle were individually mentioned for their successful work for claimants in Baker v Quantum Clothing Group, (the Nottinghamshire and Derby Deafness Litigation). Further, Nicholas David Jones is "recommended for catastrophic injury"" cases" and Michael Brace was regarded as “highly experienced in employer’s liability”.
 
In planning and public law, Graham Walters was described as having “one of the strongest public and local government law practices in Wales”. Anthony Vines is "recommended for trading standards, environmental, planning and care standards work". David Callow was featured with regard to his judicial review and licensing work.
 
In employment law, Jonathan Walters is described as “first choice for tricky employment instructions”. The Guide states that he “stands out as Wales’ expert in discrimination law”.
