The Right Honourable Lord Justice Pill unveiled a ceremonial plaque and gave a warm speech reflecting on his time at the Bar in Cardiff. The event was attended by 200 guests drawn from firms of solicitors, public bodies, planners, architects and the judiciary. Bryan Thomas, Chair of the Management Board of Civitas Law, was grateful for the support that the event had received. “I was delighted that so many people were able to join us to celebrate the event, and it was heartening to hear such positive feedback from solicitors and the judiciary alike. We knew that setting up as a new specialist chambers would be a challenge, but things have gone well and the new facilities are fantastic.”
On the day when Real Madrid paid £80m for Christiano Ronaldo, Civitas Law’s own record breaking transfer deal saw the arrival of Alistair Adams as Chambers Director. Alistair has 20 years experience working in barristers chambers, most recently at No.5 Chambers in Birmingham and London. “It is great to be joining Civitas Law at such an exciting time” said Alistair “and the quality of this event rivals anything offered by my previous chambers.”
