Mair specialises in Dispute Resolution and has conducted over a thousand separate arbitrations, adjudications and mediations. She will be leading the Dispute Resolution Practice Group within chambers.
Mair Coombes Davies sits as a chartered arbitrator, adjudicator and mediator. She is an appointed arbitrator of the Welsh Assembly Government and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (UK). Mair is dual qualified as an architect, and specialises in the built environment. She leads and sits on specialist committees on the development and future of ADR (alternative dispute resolution) for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, IDRS Ltd, the General Council of the Bar and the Royal Institute of British Architects. She represents the UK on alternative dispute resolution at the Architects Council of Europe, Brussels.
Mair’s fields of work include e-commerce communications & internet services, commercial & consumer law, arbitration, construction & commercial adjudication, mediation; construction & engineering contracts, companies, partnerships trusts, landlord & tenant; land & property; planning. Specialist experience includes the built environment, residential, commercial, offices, industrial, property & land disputes, infrastructure development & procurement.
