Anthony Vines has been instructed to appear for the Welsh Ministers before Inspector A McCooey at the public local inquiry into the Scheme for the proposed improvement of the A40 near Llandewi Velfrey and Penblewin in West Wales. The proposed Scheme includes a new 2+1 highway part of which will bypass Llandewi Velfrey and part will be along the existing route.
The Public Local Inquiry is to begin on 10 March 2020 and will be held in the Llandewi Velfrey hall for about 3 weeks. The Inspector is to hear the evidence relating to the merits of the scheme which concerns issues of need, traffic, economics, construction, climate change, rights of way as well as the environmental and ecological effects of the development. The inspector is then to prepare a report for the consideration of the Welsh Ministers.
